*My 60Days with FitnessBuilder Beings this Monday Sept 14th.

Why did I choose this product to start my site with?

FitnessBuilder is truly like have a personal trainer in your pocket. The routines are unexpected, well thought out and comprehensive. With easy to follow instructions and videos make it a great tool for getting in and staying in shape.

You may wince at the asking price and subscription, but in my opinion it is worth it. $10 for standard app gives you 200 workouts and 2000 videos and images. Plus it up with the subscription $4.99 a month, $19.99 six months and 34.99 for the year, gives you 500 routines and 5000 videos and images. For every thing the combine total $44.99 that’s less than the hourly cost for a personal trainer. You also have the ability to email and ask Fitness Builder to make you a customized work out. Have a problem their customer service is impeccable.

Before I start to use a product, I reach out to the producers and ask them some questions.

Declan Condron, MS, CSCS, USAW  and cofounder of FitnessBuilder:

Gave me loads of feed back with our Q&A email.

60Days: With all the exercises available in FitnessBuilder how long did it take you to develop this product?

Declan: We started PumpOne in March 2005, where we first concentrated on web downloads.

60Days: What up coming plans to you have for FitnessBuilder?

Declan: Wow we have a lot on tap. First we have just submitted FitnessBuilder 2.0 to iTunes which should be available soon. FB 2.0 will have 2 different levels, Standard and PLUS. Standard is kinda like a light version of what you have with 200 workouts and 2,000 images and videos. PLUS will be a supped up version of what you have with 500+ workouts and 5,000 images and videos. It will also have BackUp & Restore features.

Next up will be Workout Sharing coming in mid to end of Sept. This will allows you to share and receive workouts with others. We will be building this feature out into a whole community with Facebook connect.

Right after Sharing we will be moving on to the release of our FitnessBuilder for Professionals (personal trainers, athletic trainers etc.). This will allow trainers to create workouts for clients in the App, share them with the clients, track all the data, schedule sessions etc, all in the App.

In between all this we will be doing periodic content update where we will add more workouts and exercises as well as introducing nutritional information into the App also.

60Days: How much would this cost with a personal trainer to get what you get in the Fitness Builder.

Declan: There is no way to put a price on FitnessBuilder. I used to be a  personal trainer in one of the largest training gyms in NYC where you were charged $100+ per hour to work with me. FitnessBuilder gives you countless hours of workout material, tracking, stats, history, profile, assess to a personal trainer to answer questions and so much more. It really is the one fitness tools that covers all your needs. It’s like have a personal trainer 24/7

60Days: Do you have any inspirational stories you canshare?

Declan: You only have to read some of the reviews we are getting at

http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=306287984&mt=8

All of these are real people using the product and who love it. We also get numerous emails everyday from people who cant say enough about it. Most of the emails start with “first let me say how great FitnessBuilder is”. We love to hear from our users and we to listen to their comments, suggestions, criticisms etc and try to make FB better each release.

60Days: One feature that I like about FB is the ability to create your own workouts. How many body parts should be work out in a day and the number of exercise per?

Declan: That is up to the user and usually depends on what type of workout that have made ie full body, split routine etc. I generally try to keep the number of exercises for weight training at a 10 max.

60Days: What advice would you give a obese person to start on the road to health using FB?

Declan: Getting started is the biggest step for anyone. For most people who struggle with the weight it can be embarrassing to go to a gym and start working out so starting off slow maybe at home, it’s a great place to begin. Setting goals is also very important and I always tell people to set both long & short term.

60Days: What is your favorite routine?

Declan: Hmm that is very difficult to answer. I’m a soccer player and have done Olympic weight training and kettlebells for years so I tend to like more of the fast paced power/strength workouts. I have done most of the iPump workouts to date so I can’t say I have one favorite. There are a few that I don’t like cause they are brutal – the 300 Workouts are tough.

60Days: Do you love what you do and why?

Declan: I really love what I do. As a soccer player I have always been into working out and trying to improve my performance so to make a to do able business out of my passion is great. And to build something as innovative as FB and get the emails and feedback that we get makes it all worthwhile.

Declan will be joining me as a guess blogger on the site.

He will be able to answer questions once a week with Q&A with Declan Condron.
